The PedNet Coalition is partnering with the Mid-Missouri Mavericks baseball team in an event called "Walk to the Ball Park."
On Friday, May 28th, 2004, anyone meeting at the staging post in the parking lot of Lathrop Hall - on the University of Missouri campus just North of Stadium Boulevard across from Faurot Field - will be able to buy a half-price ticket to the game against the River City Rascals. Musical entertainment and food will be provided and the mascots from both the mavericks - Marshall - and the St. Louis Cardinals - Fred Bird - will be present. The event starts at 5.30pm.
At about 6.30pm, the group will walk a half-mile to the ball park via the tunnel under Stadium Blvd. and the pedestrian bridge over Providence Road. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
