Neighborhood Revitalization Family Fun Night

The Unite 4 Healthy Neighborhoods Action Team, Neighborhood Association Revitalization, sponsored a First Ward/Central City Family Movie Night as a way to get the neighbors out to meet neighborhood association leaders and to encourage everyone to get involved. The event was held in the afternoon on Sunday, October 16, 2011.
Participating neighborhood associations were:
- Douglass Park NA - Tyree Byndom, Chair
- West Ash NA - Julie Baca, Chair
- North Central NA - Pat Fowler, Chair
- Worley St Park NA - Meg Rivers, Chair
- Ridgeway NA, Pat Kelley, Chair
Children painted pumpkins with their parents, parents met the NA Leaders and at dusk the parking lot was transformed into a movie theater. Families enjoyed hot chocolate, popcorn and the Original Ghostbusters.

Youth Voice 4 Advocacy and adult volunteers that promoted the Family Fun Night throughout the central city community and the First Ward.
Neighborhood Leaders gathered before they were introduced. Neighbors were encouraged to connect with their Neighborhood Association Leader and get involved.
Families enjoyed painting pumpkins before the movie.
