Roots N Blues N BBQ Festival Bike Valet Parking and Bike Parade
Columbia residents are in for a treat September 25-26 with the return of the Roots 'N Blues 'N BBQ Festival http://www.rootsnbluesnbbq.com/. In true PedNet style, we encourage everyone to avoid the parking hassles and bike or walk to the festival venue.
Event organizers and the PedNet Coalition are rolling out the red carpet for anyone who rides a bike to the festival by offering free, secure bike valet parking, courtesy of New Belgium Beer and Shakespeare's Pizza!
This unique service will be available at the Shakespeare’s parking lot at the corner of 9th and Elm on Friday, September 25 from 5:00- 11:30 pm and on Saturday, September 26, from 10:30 am - 11:30 pm. Enter on Elm street.
The concept works like a coat check system. You drop of your bike and collect your claim ticket. When you are ready to head home, stop back by Shakespeare’s to turn in your ticket and retrieve your bike. Strollers are welcome as well!
There are also some great prizes available to all bike valet participants! Each person who takes part will be eligible to enter a drawing for over $750 in bicycle merchandise from Walt’s Bicycle Fitness and Wilderness Co, including a deluxe bicycle maintenance kit, LED front and rear light sets, and other great bike gear.
Ride your bike downtown to the Festival and enjoy valet bike parking free of charge courtesy of New Belgium Beer and Shakespeare's Pizza. This is a perfect way to enjoy the great food and great music of the Roots ’N Blues ’N BBQ Festival while getting exercise and keeping Columbia beautiful, plus you save on expensive gas prices! So hop on your two-wheeler and ride downtown for what's sure to be a fun-and BBQ-filled weekend.
Join Mayor Hindman for the New Belgium Brewing Company Bike Parade.
