Youzeum Starlight Bike Ramble
Date of Event: 27th September, 2008
Don't miss out on Columbia's best night-time bicycling experience, the YouZeum Starlight Bike Ramble, Saturday September 27 at 8:00 pm. About 500 cyclists (it was hard to count them all!) have participated the last two years and we're expecting a big turnout again.
Special attractions include:
- Seven-mile ride through downtown Columbia and all three college campuses
- A lap of honor (on your bike!) inside Memorial Stadium, the home of Tiger football
- Before-Ramble Health and Fitness Expo (6:00 - 8:00 pm) hosted by the Mayor's Council
- After-Ramble Party hosted by Simon Rose and Lauren Whitney with food, music, and great prizes including a brand new bike
- One-mile Family Fun Ride at 6:30 pm ... Yes, you can go round twice if you REALLY want to!
This is a fundraiser for the YouZeum, Columbia's interactive science center, focused on health! Register in advance at the YouZeum web site or just sign up at the event.
Volunteers: To enjoy the Ramble atmosphere for free, why not be a COURSE VOLUNTEER? You'll be supplied with a flashlight, reflective vest, volunteer t-shirt, and full instructions — and you get to go to the After-Ramble Party. Just call Ian at (573) 239-7916.
