FAMILY FUN FEST: "GET UP, GET ACTIVE"

5:30 - 7:00 pm at the ARC (corner of Ash & Clinkscales)

Come to the ARC on Friday, September 10th (5:30 - 7:00 pm) for a FREE Family Fun Fest. Nationally-renowned walkability expert and physical activity promoter Mark Fenton will headline a packed evening of entertainment about the joys and benefits of physical activity.

Master of ceremonies will be Columbia magician and former Rock Bridge High School basketball star Adam Guy.

KFRU Radio host David Lile will chair a youth health and fitness panel - local experts Melinda Hemmelgarn and Tom LaFontaine, and guest Mark Fenton will take questions from the audience.

Other attractions:

Free food from Shakespeare's, Main Squeeze, Grill One 5, and Chesapeake Bagel Bakery
Music from the Jingle Sisters (aka. "They're Playing Your Song")
Skits from TRYPS (Theater Reaching Young People and Schools)
Youth fitness awards from the Mayor's Council on Physical Fitness and Health
Free admission (for the first 200 attendees) to the ARC pool, gym and other facilities after the event
