COLUMBIA, MO (April 23, 2004) - Columbia, MO is on the go with new and expanded Columbia Transit routes serving the District, the movie theaters, HyVee and more.
Effective June 7th, Columbia Transit has several new routes.
Going to the District? Take the brand new downtown orbiter. Buses will circle downtown Columbia every 15 minutes during peak morning and afternoon hours.
A Night at the Movies? Columbia Transit will soon take you to the movies. You asked and we listened. Riders consistently requested a theater commuter route. Now, both Hollywood Theatres and Forum 8 Theaters are on the new transit route. Catch a movie Thursday & Friday nights or all day Saturday.
Heading South or Going West? Whether you need to go shopping, have a doctor's appointment or get to class, Columbia Transit has you covered in South and West Columbia. Our new routes service HyVee, Moberly Community College and other stops in West Columbia in addition to the License Bureau and Green Meadows clinics in South Columbia.
More than 471, 000 Columbians rode the Columbia Transit system last year and ridership continues to increase. Current bus fares will not be affected by Columbia Transit route changes.
