The University Recreation Trail from Mizzou Arena to the Hinkson Creek valley has been temporarily closed.

According to the University of Missouri, the trail will remain closed until July, while an extension to Mick Deaver Drive is constructed from its existing intersection with Champions Drive down the hill to the intersection of Providence Point Road with Providence Road. The east-west trail connection from the bridge under Providence Road eastward to the recreation fields and Grindstone Nature Area has also been closed adjacent to Providence Road, but we understand that this connection will be re-opened in a couple of weeks when "blasting" is completed.

Alternative southbound route: The University's plans for the new road include bicycle and pedestrian facilities. When construction is complete, the University Recreation Trail will be reconnected at both ends.
