This summer the Show-Me State Games is unveiling a new participation campaign. The campaign, dubbed “love of the game,” will entice children and adults all across the state to do what they love - PLAY.
This campaign will not only encompass the prestige of playing for an Olympic-style medal but also to play for the greater love of playing the game itself. The Show-Me State Games is an Olympic-style sports festival for amateur athletes. With over 35 team and individual sports we have an activity for you! Who can play in the games? YOU! You don't have to be a professional or practicing team member of any sport to play. The games are for those who loves to play by those who love to play! Gather a few friends and sign up today!
The timeless stories of children seeking abandoned lots perfect for baseball diamonds, of turning neighborhood streets into football fields, and making park trails excellent track routes make every sports enthusiast smile inside. Everyone has the child inside that plays for the sake of playing; this is who the Show-Me State Games is trying to reach. Whether it’s the love of playing, love of the game, or love of fitness, Show-Me State Games has something for everyone.
Show us you love the game! Volunteer your time to help out. If you're looking for a service project for you club or organization, check out the Show-Me State Games! To volunteer or to have a participation kit mailed to you call Angela Rico at (573) 882-2105. Or you can register online at www.smsg.org.
We'll see you at the games!
